Bienvenido a casa, en este tapiz estás presenciando el nacimiento de Quetzalcóatl, la serpiente emplumada.
Cuenta la leyenda que antes del Sol actual, hubo cuatro intentos por crear un astro que diera luz a la Tierra. Para ello se juntaron los dioses en Teotihuacán y discutieron la manera de hacer un Sol en perfecto equilibrio con una Luna acompañante. Suceso que daría vida a un quinto Sol.
El mito del Quinto Sol se refiere a la creación del mundo, el universo y la humanidad. Según éste, la Tierra ha pasado por cinco etapas diferentes desde su creación, todas regidas por un Sol diferente.
El quinto Sol (Nahui-Ollin), estaba destinado a desaparecer por fuerza de un movimiento telúrico, momento en que aparecieron los monstruos con apariencia de esqueletos de Tzitzimime y mataron a toda la humanidad. Ahí Quetzalcóatl junto con su par Xólotl crearon a la humanidad actual, dando vida con su propia sangre a los huesos de los muertos.
Desde un punto de vista holístico-espiritual, todos los detalles de la casa tienen un orden. El papel tapiz de la entrada, que da la bienvenida, representa el nacimiento del Quetzal.

Legend has it that before the current Sun, there were four attempts to create a star that would give light to the Earth. For this purpose, the gods gathered in Teotihuacan and discussed ways to create a Sun in perfect balance with its Moon companion. This event would give birth to a fifth Sun.
The myth of the Fifth Sun refers to the creation of the world, the universe, and humanity. According to that myth, the Earth has passed through five different stages since its creation, each ruled by a different Sun.
The fifth Sun (Nahui-Ollin) was destined to disappear in an earthquake, at which time the Tzitzimime, skeleton-like monsters, appeared and killed all mankind. Together with Xolotl, Quetzalcoatl created modern humans, giving life with their own blood to the bones of the dead.
